Lost in Oregon
I have these maps…… some of you have seen them. They are plastic road maps of the United States. I mark every road I drive and photograph. My goal is to drive and photograph every road in the United States. No, I don’t really think I can do that, but trying sure is fun!!
When I created a workshop in Washington for this coming June, I thought – great – on the way I’ll take some new roads. So that’s what I’m doing. I’m finishing up a Pacific Northwest book so I have a good excuse to take my time. Right now I’m based in Baker City, Oregon for about 5 days. There are a whole bunch of “new” roads here.
I never know what I’ll find when I do this. I like to come without too much research. Sure, I talk to locals and do some internet searching, but my happiest moment is to come around a corner and find a photograph about to happen.
Here are some photos that happened today:
Elkhorn Peak
Sumpter Valley Railroad
Unity Lake
These were taken today. I found a little more, but I like these. Tomorrow, I’ll take other roads and find other stuff. It’s all about the hunt!!
By the way – 2 books were released today!!!!! American Carnival and How did You Get That Shot are out!!!
Loved this and got My American Carnival book today.
I love love love love HOW DID YOU GET THAT SHOT!
