It’s great to be back in touch with Stinky Pete the Clown and Kat the Sword Sallower. I got a hold of them so I could send them an American Carnival book. Having them in the book makes the experience of being at the fair so much better.  So much more personal and somehow real.  I am so grateful that they allowed me into their world to photograph them.  One of the best perks I get as a photographer is making new friends.  Sometimes you just snap a picture or two and move on.  There are many such shots in the book. But every now and then you make a friend.
